A lot goes into into planning a tray layout. Usability, mini grouping, component weight, placement, costs, as well as box size consistency across the project are just a few examples of the many elements that need to be considered. We've gone through a few rounds of revisions and discussions with the factory, and now, all trays are approved and finalized. We are happy with their design and usability, fitting nicely all the components, from the miniatures to components (including space for the cards to be sleeved).

Hope you are doing well. This week, we've got pictures of vehicle plastic samples for the Motor Pool Expansion to share! You can find the contents of the expansion in this update here, including each vehicle and its unique ability.

Without further ado, let's take a look at the samples! Please note that these are T1 plastics, which are the preliminary injections into our plastic molds. There will be further color adjustments to be made and details to be improved upon. We expect another 2-3 rounds of modifications before approving the final plastics.

Exclusive Edition Rulebook preview!

Hey choomba!
We are happy to say that after much revision, we've finalized our print files. These files have been checked by the production, design, development, and editing teams. Comments have been applied, errors ironed out, and we're confident they're in a good state to be sent out to factories to begin the process of acquiring print samples. Although there are still a few steps before printing can begin, this marks an important milestone in our journey.
Considering this, we decided that it was time to share the completed rulebook with you! This is the rulebook you will receive with your copies of Cyberpunk 2077: Gangs of Night City, which differs slightly from the retail version, since it contains not only the core box but also the Stretch Goals content, including the additional 6th Street gang, all the Edgerunners, and rules for the modules featured in this Exclusive Edition of the game. Tray Layout & Print Files Update

Hey choomba!
Hope you've all been well. We're currently in the thick of processing and revising print files. Our graphic department is working hard to make sure every tiny detail is just right before sending them off to the printers. Once that's done, we can start preparing print samples!
So while we wait for that, we wanted to show you something cool - the vacuum tray layout for the Families and Outcasts Expansion! In a previous update, we shared plastic samples and the Badlands Board. With the board finalized, it came time to see how everything will fit together inside the box.
The half-length of the board dictated the box's width and height, and therefore, the size of the tray. Since we had some room, we decided to have the miniatures as unobstructed by the print components as they possibly could. The L-shape of the board made an almost perfect window for the miniatures, as you can see below.
In addition, we included a slot to place the Kickstarter Exclusive Panam Palmer tray at the top right and we're also making sure to account for sleeved cards.
Pretty neat, huh? We're happy with the design and look forward to move to the next steps and receive physical samples to check!

Lots are happening behind the scenes as our graphic design team finalizes the print files. This means we'll be preparing print samples soon and we'll be one step closer to production.
In the meantime, we are constantly receiving plastic samples and making revisions to ensure the plastics are the best they can be. This week, we're happy to show you the plastic samples for the Gang Hideouts!
